Founded
in 1996, the Hot Chamber Music Society quickly established a reputation for
delivering hot and swinging New Orleans and Chicago-style Dixieland jazz. One
listen to this CD and its easy to understand why this band's logo features a
trumpet raised skyward with flames shooting out of the
bell.
Ensemble improvisation is
the order of the day, much like a classic jam session - fresh, spontaneous and
exciting! (And the banjoist gets vocals on "My Little Bimbo..." and "Coney
Island Washboard!") |
