I can remember back when I was struggling to learn to play the banjo. How difficult it was to put together a solo, let alone an arrangement. If you played the piano or sang or played almost any other instrument, there were all kinds of music available .. except for the banjo!
I've tried to alleviate that problem by making a large selection of well known music available to you, as my student. Now you have that same opportunity to browse through a lot of music written especially for the plectrum banjo. You'll be amazed how much you'll learn about notation, music and chords just by going through my Solo Books and playing the tunes.
You'll learn how to construct your own solos, how to change the regular chord formations into the proper inversion with the appropriate melody note that you need for your particular tune. You'll learn all the short-cuts and three-string chords, and when to play just single-string notes; and you'll learn all this while learning a new solo at the same time! What a great way of expanding your repertoire.
So I guess that these Solo Books will add a great deal of knowledge and pleasure and you'll look forward with even more enthusiasm and anticipation to your practice sessions.
