Table of Contents

423 tunes, 410 pages. Contains: Many old combo standards still popular today; small and big band swing jazz and dance classics--Teddy Wilson, Billie Holiday, Goodman, Fats Waller, but not the difficult specials of Kirby or the Goodman Sextet; early 30s two-beat show, movie and sweet tunes. Also separate sections of Latins and Waltzes. (Dances such as the cha cha and mambo, weren't invented until the 1950s, but are often requested by the audiences who want 30s-40s music, so some of these are included.  There are a few post-1950 waltzes and tangos, since they'll be more familiar to more musicians.). Many of the swing era small band classics were actually composed in the 20s, and therefore are in D-CUP.  A companion to D-Cup Dixie Chords.
