Ron
Hinkle has been playing
banjo since the age of 12. He and his sister, Linda Hall, learned from
their father, Myron Hinkle,a long-time professional banjoist and
pianist. who is a 2009 inductee of the Four-String Banjo Hall of
Fame.
As
an adult Ron has been the banjoist for several Trad Jazz fests throughout
the U.S. and Germany and has a degree in Music Education. He
is an Army Bandsman (clarinet, sax, banjo, guitar, ukulele, and
vocals), and has played the banjo in 31 countries on 4 continents.
He
and his wife Paige have a daughter, Carlee. They now live a very
contented life with their 3 cats, Jean (De)Clawed Kitty, Anna-Marie
Mouse-Prowler, and Malcolm the Manx.
