CYCLES Similar to tunes like "Sweet Georgia Brown," "Don't Let Your Deal Go Down," and the bridge to "I've Got Rhythm," "Cycles" chords move mostly in a VI-II-V-A pattern. Find one dominant 7 lick and use it over each of the dominant 7 chords by transposing it from D7 to G7 to C7, etc. The last 8 bars throw a slight curve with the Dm-to-A7 change (six minor to three dominant). Experiment until you find something that works. Start with chord arpeggios or scales. There's a suggestion below.
